Introduction

Hello, welcome to Hannele´s website! Hannele Lindgren is an oriental dancer, teacher and coreographer from Turku, Finland

Oriental dance has been a part of Hannele´s life for fifteen years. She was enchanted when she first saw an oriental dance show and wanted immediately get to know the dance to research, how a woman can move so beautyfully and fluently. She is still on that journey finding always something new and interesting to learn!

With oriental dance a quite new world has opened to Hannele. The rhythms and instruments of arabic music fascinates her time after time and she wishes the audience to share this happiness and joy with her.

For Hannele dancing means self- expression and different feelings. As an performer she communicates with the audience and music and she wishes her dance to touch the audience. Working with musiciants and live music has given her the finest moments and she feels strongest while dancing egyptian balady and oriental.

As a teacher Hannele is known of precice technique and supporting teaching method. She is a popular teacher in weekend seminars and festivals around Finland She also has visited Germany, Estonia and Sweden performing and teaching.

Hannele`s oriental dance studies started in Atudio Afifa year 1991. Since year 1996 she has worked as a self-employed teacher. She has regular dance classes weekly in Turku and she teaches on weekend seminars all over Finland and abroad.

Her basic education is a physiotherapeutist specialized to orthopediatric and occupational health. While studying she made a research " Potential Application of Oriental Dance in the Physiotherapy of a Low-Back Pain Patient.

She has also graduated in the Oriental Dance Teacher Training Programme by Masrah association.

Hannele has had an opportunity to study with fabulous teachers (Hannele`s teachers). Teachers that have most influenced her are Tuija Rinne from Finland, Raqia Hassan and Aida Nour from Egypt and Yousry Sharif from Egypt/USA. Besides oriental dance she has studied other dances, as jazz- dance and african dance.

She is a member of national Mihrimah Association (Tampere), Masrah association (Helsinki) and Associaton of Seven Veils in Finland. Masrah and 7 HT have a dance education programme for becoming teachers. Hannele works as a trainer in both association`s teacher training program.
